Julius went to George Washington high school here in Denver and was the only black child in his class. He was drafted to play baseball for the Cleveland Indians but suffered a career ending injury that led him down a dark path that found Julius in prison. He graduated college while in prison. After that he worked many successful jobs, including exterminator and fashion design. Now he is a widower with two grown daughters. He is in dialysis 3 times a week and has a best friend of 24 years who drives him to all his appointments, especially to IFCS. Julius has brought IFCS flowers, a note, and every time he visits tells everyone how much he appreciates us, how sweet we are, and thanks us.
